Hendon Semiconductors Pty Ltd is a member of the Legend Corporation group of companies. Hendon Semiconductors is a South Australian based company, specialising in the design and manufacture of microelectronic products for markets where electronics is a key technology. These products include integrated circuits (silicon chips) in Bipolar, Bi-CMOS and CMOS technologies, thick film hybrids (ceramic substrate) and surface mounted printed circuit board assemblies and modules. Whilst integrated circuit design and fabrication is a key activity, the blend of complementary technologies gives access to competitive advantages in markets where microelectronics is the technology of choice.

brief history

The Hendon business site in Adelaide, South Australia has been a long established integrated circuit design and wafer fabrication facility in Australia, from its Philips semiconductor background up to 1997, when the business became Integrated Electronic Solutions Pty. Ltd, to its name change to Hendon Semiconductors Pty. Ltd in 2007. With the recent outsourcing of wafer fabing processing, further capabilities have been added to the design and technology capabilities of the Hendon Semiconductors' business.

This continuity of operation brings a high level of design competency to Hendon Semiconductors, plus the backing and experience of many years of technology and applications support to our customers. `The business is ISO9001-2008 accredited with experience in a wide range of markets, including Automotive, Telecommunications, Temperature Control, Mains Control and Data Interface. We also offer custom design service for customers seeking application specific integrated circuits for high volume electronic products, in markets where IP protection and low unit costs are key factors. As well as design expertise, we maintain a high capability for in-house wafer probe and packaged product testing, whilst taking advantage of sourcing packaging and wafer fabrication with globally recognized service providers. Hendon Semiconductors has a 85+ workforce consisting of a strong manufacturing facility and dedicated design, marketing and logistics support groups.
